Ray Lowry's cartoons at this point (1980) were also regularly to be found in the NME and Private Eye. Earlier in 1980 his work had adorned the Clash's 'London Calling' album sleeve. 1980 was also the year his first cartoon collection was published, 'Only Rock 'n' Roll'.
