Avril A - Housewife/Superstar from Prestwich. Popular around the gay clubs at the time, but certainly not the type of act you would expect to find at the Hacienda! She was loved by many and had a big fan club, but made a few hi-nrg hits, the main one being 'Paris is for Lovers'. I still have Avril's original signed contract for the event somewhere ...

Love this! Avril was my aunt and I've been working through the mountains of stuff she left behind after she died, covering her bonkers career.
